KS2 Design Technology Textiles Mobile Phone/Electronic Device Cover - Flipchart and Powerpoint

This project is suitable to children in key stage 2. I did this with Year 6 but it can be done with younger children as well. The lessons are on both Activ Inspire and Powerpoint.

The project includes a full project booklet, design brief and teaching slides to go alongside these. This is a recommended half term project so approximately 6 weeks. For older children, you could introduce all three types of stitches on the slides - running, back and blanket. For younger children, I would focus solely on running stitch with wider eyed needles. You can use any type of material for this. Felt is easier to use but there are so many lovely fabrics that also work well. I would expect older children to embellish their final design to add that intricate detail.
