This is a knowledge organiser which contains the fundamental principles from the ‘Structure and function of human body systems’ topic from KS3 Activate 1, Biology.
This would be suitable for a KS3 class studying human body systems from any syllabus.
I used this to support my year 7 class with writing their own flashcards as end of unit revision, but it could have many applications.
It is designed to be visual with diagrams to support the text and key vocabulary in bold.
This knowledge organiser contains a brief overview of the following areas:
- Levels of organisation (cells, tissues, organs, organ systems)
- Gas exchange
- Breathing (with a focus on the process of inhalation)
- The skeleton (labeled diagram, function of skeleton)
- Joints (types of joint, and functions of ligament and cartilage)
- Antagonistic muscles (focus on biceps and triceps)
