-An assembly entitled ‘Blank Canvas’ which is appropriate for KS3 pupils
-Pupils are first asked to identify the famous roof in slide 2 (The Sistine Chapel).
-The teacher should call on pupils to discuss/think about the thoughts and intentions of artist, Michelangelo and what he intended to portray to his audience and how he began to design such a magnificent piece of Art.
-The rest of the assembly calls on pupils to look at themselves as ‘blank canvas’, they are the artist for their own canvas (this is particularly significant if it is a new academic year or term)
-The PowerPoint ends with a prayer.
-Assembly was used for Year 9 pupils in Northern Ireland (12-13 year olds).
