A quick reference sheet for pupils to stick in the back of books for use with individual writing. Ideal for stretch and challenge at KS3 or as a reference point at KS4. Prepares pupils for naturally including higher-level phrases and improving range of language at GCSE level. Includes opinion phrases, time phrases, connectives and adjectives. I print it out on a bright colour so pupils know exactly what you’re referring to if you ask them to use it. After a few weeks they are using it without being instructed to. It also includes some more basic phrases, so that when pupils ask about words they should probably know, they can access them easily if you just say “it’s on your bright yellow sheet”!
