KS3 Technical Theatre SOW

This Key Stage 3 scheme of work introduces students to the core areas of technical theatre - costume design, hair and make-up design, sound design and lighting design - through a series of practical and creative lessons for Years 7 - 9. Students explore how costume, hair and make-up communicate character, period and style; create simple soundscapes; and design basic lighting states and plans to shape mood, focus and dramatic emphasis.

There is no assessment attached as I changed this depending on the class but there are slides to accompany whatever you choose as the assessment focus (for example, giving them the choice focusing on 1 from the 4, giving them a task based on all 4 etc).
