WARNING: This lesson isn’t really like the others in the series!

I usually do this lesson a few weeks after the Easter break. Over Easter, I breakdown all the design eras, and designers required into cards, and before the holiday get students to pull one out the hat. I always have 16 students, so it works well. Over the break they each produce an infographic on the card chosen, and once back I compile these into a book for all. Anyone with a ‘below standard’ infographic, doesn’t get included (I use one from a previous year), and they also then don’t get a copy of the class book! I’ve included the homework task within the resource download.

This lesson is then a quick summary of the movements, whereby it’s a shopping basket activity. I’ve made an A3 poster on each movement, and students review the poster, and annotate into their books any additional details missing on the infographic.

NB: The starter activity is a card sort into whatever eras they think are included, so some reprographics faff is required first. The main activity requires the posters printing off and being stuck up around the room too.
