~A cultural reading on the history of the Mexican flag. It talks about Mexican independence and what the three colors on the flag represent. The reading also includes a paragraph on the Aztec legend on the founding of Tenochtitlan (present-day Mexico city) which is represented by the eagle which appears as an emblem on the flag. The final paragraph talks about the Aztec language of náhuatl, and the words that have been borrowed into English such as: coyote, guacamole, chocolate, chia y tomate.
