Learning Strategies for Student Success course aims to enhance students’ organization, time management, executive functioning skills, and other critical areas that support overall academic achievement and personal growth. The Learning Strategies 2.0 resources, continue these essential concepts, but expanding to include memory techniques, goal setting, mindfulness, critical thinking, etc. In Learning Strategies 3.0 we further expand on those integral skills with the goal of having students reflect and respond to topics of communication & teamwork, digital literacy & technology, test-taking strategies, college and career readiness, and other important and relevant topics to help prepare your student(s) for success. Learning Strategies 4.0 delves into a new set of essential life skills balanced with foundational skills, including civic & social responsibility, note-taking & Annotation, environmental awareness & sustainability, creativity & innovation, and ethics & integrity, with the goal of fostering students into well-rounded, thoughtful, and engaged global citizens.
What’s Inside?
Engage students with a collection of 30 dynamic prompts (task cards available in Black & White and Color) that introduce topics of common ethics and integrity related topics. Some include:
- Honesty: What strategies do you use to practice honesty in your daily life?
- Integrity: What does integrity mean to you?
- Respect: How do you demonstrate respect for others’ opinions and beliefs?
- Ethics & Peer-Pressure: How do you handle peer pressure to do something unethical?
- Reflection: How do you reflect on your actions to ensure they align with your values?
- Responsibility: Describe a time when you admitted a mistake and took responsibility for it.
