This activity invites students to draw sketches of 2D and 3D shapes with certain perimeters, area and volume. It encourages students to think about easy and hard examples including circular shapes in terms of pi. It is an open task therefore students can use whatever shapes they know already and could then be encouraged to explore others they do not.

I really like this activity as it really requires the pupils to think about the dimensions of the shape they are given. I would use these at the end of unit on volume and surface as it would be great to consolidate learning. It is easy to adapt to work in pairs and generate discussion. Thank you for sharing.
