An introductory lesson to a country study of China. This lesson included gathering information about China and presenting it in a mind map. Students are then to compare the UK and China through the use of a venn diagram. Knowledge of what students have found out is then tested in a true/false activity. The final activity of the lesson is for students to reduce three pieces of information that they have discovered during the lesson from a written paragraph to key words to a simple picture.
