Research task - Students to research the disease Malaria and complete their worksheet.
Extension: Students to find out more information about one of the factors affecting Malaria.
Students to answer the key questions;
Describe the distribution of Malaria cases worldwide.
Describe the distributions of death caused by the disease.
As a group, students to create five questions about Malaria. These are going to be asked to other groups, so students must make them challenging.
Exam Question: Explain the link between Malaria and the physical and socio-economic environment. (6)
Students to complete the exam question, they have two minutes to plan an outline. Possible outline then given.
Paragraph 1 – Physical environment and the link to Malaria. Evidence to support your answer. Explain the link in detail.
Paragraph 2 - Socio-economic environment and the link to Malaria. Evidence to support your answer. Explain the link in detail.
Students to come up with a solution to Malaria.
This has to be practical and fit in with the countries physical and socio-economic environment.
