Lesson 7-8 EQ Proof Buildings

This is adouble lesson for top set yr7/8 that investigates what EQ proof buildings are, and how different bulding techniques and strategies are used and appied for buldings to withstand EQs. It includes specific examples of EQ poof buildings each with a different design concept, to provide students with plenty of ideas and encouragement to specifically design their own EQ proof building out of household materials. (This is a homework and follows on from lesson 6 in this SOW).

The second part of the double lesson focuses on team work, communication. presentation and peer assessment skills, as students have to present their EQ proof building models to the rest of the class whilst they are peer assessed. The peer assessment wksheet is included and has a specific critteria that can be adapted if needs be.
