Loosely based on the board game September, ‘Linkage’ is a fun and engaging game to play with classes as a review activity, alternatively use it to simply present the most important concepts for a context in a way that will engage students and encourage team work, discussion and planning in classes of all sizes. The game works perfectly in online classes as well and can be modified to suit any level or type of teaching point.

The activity is a fully customisable PowerPoint game with 20 questions all of which have automatic timers. The aim of the game is to make a continuous path from one side of the board to the other, a simple concept to understand for all types of lesson and ability. Teams choose a shape to play which takes them to a question, if they are correct they get to decide where the shape is placed on the board.

The activity is designed to maximise student talking time and to help focus the game on specific questions set by the teacher and is sure to be a hit with classes of all ages and abilities.
