A staple activity for classrooms all over the world, this version of Bankrupt has been designed to be engaging for young learners, teens and adults! It is the perfect review activity at the end of a term, or a fun game to practise any number of topics or subjects and can be used in-class or in online lessons.
It has full visual and audio feedback and comes with 3 different board layouts so you can use it again and again without the game becoming stale. The game is also prepared in a variety of different currencies (British Pounds - £, Dollars - $, and Euros - €).
Bankrupt is played with 24 questions, which can be prepared on the included materials. Answers for each set are given on the sheet so questions can be easily graded according to reward. On the PowerPoint the first click on a box highlights it, allowing you to ask the question, the second click reveals the value of the box, the third click brings back the highlighted number (if you need to do this).
The variety of currencies and board layouts with included PRINTABLE and EDITABLE resources for students and teachers make this a winning activity in any classroom.
Based on the UK TV show, ‘Tenable’ is a quick and engaging way to inspire discussion and negotiation between students in developing what they think are the top ten answers for a given subject, alternatively use it to simply present the most important concepts for a context in a way that will attract students and engage with learners of all ages. This activity is perfect to use in ONLINE or DISTANCE LEARNING classes to inspire discussion and debate between students and with the right context is a great way to increase student speaking time in those classes where students are reluctant to speak up.
The activity is simple to prepare, on the Title screen the teacher defines the top ten in the given space, on the reveal screen the top ten answers are written in the boxes on the left. When the PPT is played the concept is presented and students are given a time limit to discuss what they think are the correct answers. When the time limit is up the answers can be revealed by clicking on the relevant numbered box.
This PPT contains 5-minute, 4-minute, 3-minute, 2-minute and 1-minute timed title screens with music for use in different levels and for different-ability classes. The timer will run across the background and will show alerts as each minute passes and a “Time’s up” alert at the end.
Students can then give their answers and the teacher can reveal the correct answers by clicking the relevant number.
v1.3 Added an Audio button to restart the music after stopping it. Cleaned up the bottom ribbons to make the initial timer look nicer after clicking to start.
v1.4 After user feedback I have added an option to show a wrong answer. You can click a specific section so the counter travels all the way to the top spot and then the board turns red.
v1.5 Edited animations to work more smoothly and fixed a bug with skipping slides.
v1.6 Edited animations again to work better in online classes and changed the ‘INCORRECT’ text to blend in better with the background on the v1.4 update.
Use this activity to elicit the topic of a lesson, evaluate how much students know in a given topic, or even to help students practice spelling / review words. The perfect resource for teachers going BACK TO SCHOOL and something you can use weekly or even daily that becomes an exciting stage of the lesson for students to collaborate on. This activity is perfect for ONLINE classes and is easy to customise, and engaging for students with full audio and visual feedback.
As students correctly guess the letters just click the relevant spaces to reveal the letters with audio feedback. If an answer is incorrect, click the red X to move Mr. Happy one step closer to the edge of the cliff. Students have 10 chances to fail, on the final chance a version of the ‘Jaws’ theme will begin playing to let students know they must be careful. Students win when all letters have been revealed, if they lose the game the sharks celebrate on the island and Mr. Happy ends up in the water. This is a pain-free and very child-friendly resolution to a classic, and well-known game.

This fun activity is a great review or fun treat for any subject, at any level. Students answer questions to race around the track trying to complete 3 laps before the other teams.
The game has been prepared in 2 different formats. The 20 questions version is played with 20 questions, which are prepared with answers on the PPT. Players / Teams choose a color, or you can use the randomized team color picker. Players / Teams choose a color and number light which corresponds to a question. Questions that have been chosen turn white and cannot be clicked again.
The other format is a standalone version of the game where the questions can be prepared away from the PPT or taken from a workbook etc. The game is played in the same way except players remain on the main track screen while the questions are asked.
As Players / Teams get the questions correct they click on their color car and it moves along the track. Each lap is marked off in the center display so it’s easy for teams to keep track of their progress.
It’s a simple concept, but a fun and engaging way to present, review or practice any teaching point.
