Listening Prompt Sheet Sentence Starters

This is a double sided sheet that I use throughout all of KS3 to guide responses to listening activities. From the beginning of Year 7 pupils will use these sheets to ensure they’re accessing relevant concepts correctly. We listen to a piece of music at the start of every listen and pupils use their knowledge and this sheet to create a written response. The added bonus is the cross-curricular links with Literacy here. The first side is a “fundamentals” page, whilst the second encourages pupils to move their ideas to more advanced concepts.
