How to use the Lolly Stick groups:
Step 1: Colour print the cards on Slide 28 and 29 (to make 26 single sided cards, enough for 26 students)
Step 2: Cut the cards out
Step 3: Get students to pick a card at random as they enter your classroom
Step 4: Display Slide 2 to students as they enter your classroom
Step 5: Decide how many groups you want to divide your class into
Step 6: Print slides 8-27 and place around the classroom, this is where students will move to in their groups
Step 7: Once you have decided how many groups you want, show either Slide 3,4,5 or 6 on screen
Step 8: Get students to move to the right place and sit in their new randomly assigned groups
