Lesson 1: Look at stylistic choices to affect mood
Lesson 2: making a fact file as a basis for a biography
Lesson 3: Writing a support and scaffolded biography (paired, group, modelled and independent work)
Lesson 4: identifying features of a newspaper report and write a headline
Lesson 5: To write a lead paragraph with a focus on who, what, when, where
Lesson 6: To understand the difference between direct and reported speech.
Lesson 7: To generate one piece of direct and report speech for a newspaper report.
Lesson 8: To research the Pheonix Meteor shower and summarise the events
Lesson 9: To research future space/celestial events.
Lesson 10: To write a newspaper report based on lessons 4 to 9
Lesson 11: To create a poster/leaflet to advertise a future space themed event
