This animated Maths Forest Escape Room is a fun and captivating activity in which your children can show you their understanding of the different aspects of elementary/primary school fractions, so it can also be used in Middle School to assess prior knowledge.

Don’t your children enjoy challenges? This activity is ideal for class activity, engaging, challenging and exciting.

Will your children earn an axe to chop the wood so they can keep warm after a bad storm? Will they survive the encounter with a big bear? Will they be scared of an angry eagle swooping down on their heads? Are they afraid of cougars? How do they feel about meeting a pack of coyotes during their hike? If they answer correctly the many questions, they will not be scared of these encounters and will proceed safely on their way back home from the American forest.

All challenges are fractions based, with decimals and percentages too. The file contains 40 problems:

recognize the smallest fraction
recognize the largest fraction
recognize the equivalent fraction
word problems of increased difficulty
