Levels reflect school exams based on National Numeracy Strategy. Used successfully for one to one additional language support, whole class teaching and given to EAL families before their children started shcool. Reflects best practice for EAL teaching. Learners/teacher identify word they do not know, look it up in their home language, write the meaning in home language, English or as a picture, then learn. Our photocopier could change A4 sheets into an A5 booklet. I put “Words I don’t know” and “Notes” pages after each level.
