MFL Plenary Game for Languages Lessons

Perfect for Spanish, French, and German lessons, this game boosts participation and reinforces learning.

I have adapted this game from a different version, creating three variations. Here you will find the Spanish version.
Spanish: La Tortilla de Patatas Plenary
French: Le croissant
German: Die Brezel

How does it work?

• Divide the class into two teams with target-language names.
• Prepare topic-related questions. If a team answers correctly, they pick a box by saying the number and color in the target language.
• Inside, they might find points to add to their total. However, if they uncover a special ingredient, they lose everything!
• If they find the completed dish, they win a prize (credits, merits, or festive treats).

This game encourages healthy competition, student engagement, and active language use. I have used it for nearly three years, and it works brilliantly! Clear instructions at the start ensure smooth play, and students quickly grasp the concept.
