This is a great lesson to link science to real world situations. Microplastics is also a great topic to cover in science lessons or tutor/form time as part of pupils cultural capital curriculum.

This microplastics lesson covers what microplastics are, how they enter ecosystems and food webs and their impact. Polymers and bioaccumulation are covered to link the lesson content to biology and chemistry specifications.

Tasks included in this lesson Powerpoint are; drawing polymer molecules, bioaccumulation task (which has an optional challenge task), spider diagram task and end of lesson quiz. This is a print free lesson, however tasks can be printed from the Powerpoint slides if table top copies are preferred.
