I drew this little soft winged beetle (Malthodes minimus - Malthodes minimus) for my class after I spotted it on some blossom in a tree, on my Rydal Water walk in the Lake District, Cumbria. We used it as part of our minibeasts of Britain lessons as we explored the importance of the food chain, types of food creatures eat, habitats they live in, and role of insects in the environment.
