Mixed Operation Fraction Arithmetic Flashcards

Fraction arithmetic flashcards with all variations of mixed, improper, simple and more tricky addition, subtraction, multiplying and division. Medium to difficult level with plenty of times table and long multiplication opportunities. (There are no very simple questions with common denominators). I have used this with year 5 up to year 11. The cards can be cut out and shuffled or used as a worksheet. There is space on the cards for the answers. They could be cut out and handed out as a differentiated starter, used as quiz cards or as a main task. I have also used these during a game of ‘Battleships’. Line up the students’ chairs in team rows. Studentson opposing teams take a card, run to their seat and work out the answer, last to finish is ‘sunk’. The winning team is the one with players still afloat! The answers are included.
