Bring translation, reflection, rotation and enlargement together in an editable 83-slide Year 9 maths PowerPoint. Pupils choose and describe transformations, predict image coordinates, reverse operations and explain why the order of transformations can matter.

Designed for print-free teaching: project the diagrams while pupils give coordinates, shape letters, column vectors or short explanations on mini whiteboards or in exercise books. Pupil tasks do not require printed grids or drawing transformed shapes.

I DO, WE DO, YOU DO
A six-question I Do / We Do overview includes miniature diagrams and space for teacher working. Three matched pairs cover translation coordinates, identifying and fully describing congruent transformations, and enlargements with scale factors above and below 1. Enlarged examples and worked answers follow. Further examples develop two-stage transformations and correcting incomplete descriptions.

CLEAR DIAGRAMS AND NOTATION
Teaching slides explain the information needed for a complete description and how to check corresponding vertices. Coordinate grids support the tasks, and translation and displacement calculations use editable column vectors. Worked examples include an offset rotation centre, reflection in x = 1 and enlargement about a centre other than the origin.

32 QUESTIONS ACROSS TWO PRACTICE PAGES
The first shared diagram contains six labelled shapes for comparing all four transformations. The second contains five shapes for exploring routes and the order of operations. Questions include full descriptions, inverse transformations, image coordinates, two-stage routes, error correction and comparisons of lengths and areas.

ONE-PAGE DIFFERENTIATED TASK
Six Developing, six Secure and four Greater Depth questions use one shared diagram. Accessible identification questions lead into inverse descriptions, equivalent transformations and explanations using properties of shapes.

The Super Challenge on the same page asks pupils to combine reflections in x = 1 and x = 4, find one equivalent transformation and explain the effect of reversing the order. A separate challenge slide and worked solution provide a diagram, column-vector answers and algebraic reasoning.

CHECK UNDERSTANDING THROUGHOUT
• Six retrieval questions and six prerequisite questions, with grouped answers.
• Twenty individual mini-whiteboard AFL questions, each immediately followed by its answer.
• Coordinate grids on every AFL question and all three exit checks.
• Answers for practice, differentiation and the Super Challenge.
• Editable text, coordinate grids, shapes, points and column vectors.
