Musical Instruments - Orchestral and Others

PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY!

This is a seven slide powerpoint document with fully embedded instrumental sounds.
This has been made using the latest version of Powerpoint.
YOU WILL ONLY ACCESS SOUND BITES ON PRESENTATION.

All instrumental sounds are fully embedded so that when you select an instrument it will play the corresponding sound.

YOU WILL NOT SEE ANY VISIBLE SOUND FILES ON DOWN LOAD - THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AS IT SHOULD BE!

Each slide will only reveal the family name and instrumental name on click and in PRESENTATION MODE.
This means that each family slide could be played with instrument sounds only if you wish.

Each slide has clear images of the instruments.
Slides are divided into orchestral families:

String : Violin Viola 'Cello Double Bass Guitar & Harp
Woodwind: Picc, Flute, Oboe, Cor, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Bassoon & Contra
Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Euph & Tuba
Percussion 1 (untuned): Claves, Triangle, Bass drum, Snare drum, Cymbals & Timps
Percussion 2 (tuned): Xylo, Glock & Marimba
Keyboards: Piano, Harpsichord, Celeste, Synth & Organ

This is really useful for a range of activities linked to the aural recognition of instrumental timbre as well as visual identification.

I have used this with Key Stage 3 and 4.

PLEASE REMEMBER :

1. You will need the latest version of powerpoint .
2. You WILL NOT SEE music files on download.
3. YOU MUST be in presentation mode to activate the sound files.
