Ionic formula puzzle designed to help students work out how many anions and cations are needed for a neutral compound. Students select the puzzle pieces based on the charges of the anions and cations present in the formula then use them to work out how many of each are needed.
Resource includes a list of ionic compound names which students can start working through in class and then can be completed for homework (hopefully without needing the puzzle!). It is a little fiddly to cut out (!!) but once done makes a good classroom resource.
