This is a blank newspaper template based on the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This resource also comes with a sheet that provides three differentiated starting points for writing a newspaper article about the Bus Boycott. Each puts the pupil in the role of a reporter who has been tasked to write an article by their editor. The activities range from a simple article about the arrest and immediate call for a boycott to a retrospective review after the boycott ended.
This is a great activity to develop pupils’ creative skills, as well as their ability to report on historical events.
