This is a whole lesson on 4 different and likely new ways to multiply. Pupils LOVE this lesson and feedback is always highly positive. Most students only learn one method and through learning different methods it can massively improve their understanding of multiplying and number in general. The lesson works as a competition and looks at four different methods. 1) Babylonian or Column method, 2) Grid or Box method, 3) Chinese or Lattice method and 4) Egyptian or Doubling method.
