Number Ladders using Single Digit Addition and Subtraction

Number Ladders are great for improving number sense, place value, addition/subtraction skills, and the 100 chart. These ladders reach different learners and are a great addition to any classroom.

Here is an example of how to use the ladders: Start at the bottom of the ladder and move up by adding or subtracting single digit numbers. Write the sum or the difference on each ladder’s step. You must be at the correct number when you reach the top of the ladder!

Also added is a challenge! Students see the numbers going up the ladder. They have to decide if the next step on the ladder is adding or subtracting and by how much.

A total of 30 Ladders included! Plus recording sheets and answer keys.
All the ladders come in a black and white version too.
