Oceans and seas colouring sheets explore the wonderful world of oceans and seas. Links to: Our World, Sea Animals, Water, Transport, the Seaside and Holidays.
The resource includes 6 black-and-white worksheets, each featuring 12 picture cards with written labels underneath – 72 picture cards in total.
Children can read the words, recognise and name the pictures, colour the illustrations. The activities help develop vocabulary, reading, word recognition and understanding of the world around us.
The picture cards can also be cut out and used in a variety of ways, including matching games, flashcards, sorting activities and vocabulary discussions. Children could sort the pictures into categories such as sea creatures, transport, beach items and things found underwater.
A colour worked example is included to provide inspiration and demonstrate how the pictures can be coloured.
The resource also includes a blank template with empty boxes, with space underneath for children to label.
Children can use this template to:
• Cut and paste pictures into the boxes.
• Draw and label their own pictures.
• Find and add pictures linked to the topic.
