Detailed PP and activities for Yr13, re capping key ideas about miracles, and introducing students to David Hume’s work on miracles. PP begins with a re-cap of Aquinas’ definition of miracles, and traditional definitions. PP then moves on to explain Hume’s argument in detail, and concludes with a group work activity whereby students take it in turns to run to the back of the room, remember information from the worksheet, and record it in the relevant box on their A3 sheet. Students then peer assess their work and use what they have done to conclude the lesson with a debate on whether or not God still carries out miracles today.
