Redesigning the Curriculum

• Anything else I think will help you in a meeting and provide you with evidence

Top survival tips/suggestions:
• Ensure you have planned your curriculum collaboratively so that everyone is clear about why you offer what you do.
• Have a simple, single or double-sided sheet of A4 for your team which maps out the curriculum (Learning Journeys). Make sure you can point out where knowledge is built upon across and between years. Make sure you can show the increasing challenge of the assessment tasks. Make sure you can talk about how the NC is covered in full in your curriculum. Have your 5-year curriculum overviews ready if needed.
•Consider having simple child friendly learning journeys in student books so that if asked about it they have something to refer to if they clam up.
•Have class lists ready for every class on that day so you can make a note of who the inspectors speak to as they will want to meet them again later.

• The inspectors will want to meet your team without you. They therefore need to know their stuff! As well as being able to answer the questions at the start of this document, teaching staff may be asked the following questions
