This fun and original assembly aims to help children to take positive steps online to promote their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others, through learning about:
-What online wellbeing means and why it matters;
-How they can make safe, healthy choices online;
-How they can use words and actions to be kind online;
-What to do if someone is being unkind online to them or others.
This assembly is tried and tested, and has always been really well received in the past. The slides are visually engaging and well-presented, and the subject matter is tailored to the interests and needs of young people.
The assembly contains a wide range of engaging material, including engagement with thought-provoking videos, interactive activities, consideration of different scenarios that children may find themselves in online which test them. There is also a fun, interactive gameshow style quiz at the end to test what they have remembered!
There is enough material to lead a 40-minute assembly here, but you can trim bits as required if you are looking for something shorter. It is suitable for children across the primary phase.
