Draft the Kindergarten report card for your whole class faster. Type first names once, pick the support each child needs in the four strands (Independent, Developing or With support) and the picker drafts the Key Learning, Growth in Learning and Next Steps in Learning paragraph for every child. Then read, edit and paste.

Written for Ontario’s 2026 Kindergarten curriculum: the Communication of Learning (February and June) and the Initial Observations (fall), for Year 1 (JK) and Year 2 (SK).

What’s included:

  • 847 comments and tips in the four strands: Foundations of Language and Mathematics, Problem Solving and Innovating, Self-Regulation and Well-Being, Belonging and Contributing (714 strand lines in 17 focus areas)
  • 68 ‘At home’ tips for families, with a setting so a family does not read four in one report
  • ESL and IEP lines for every strand and Early Reading Screening lines for Year 2 (they never report a result)
  • Initial Observations tab: one combined paragraph per child, with 18 settling-in lines
  • Curriculum coverage page: how the lines line up with the 25 overall expectations (A1-D25)
  • Catholic schools: 24 Religious and Family Life Education lines in their own tab
  • The comment picker for up to 40 children (Excel; opens in Google Sheets) and a Bank tab with every line
  • A 74-page PDF of every comment with a character count on every line, plus how-to pages and worked examples

How the picker works: type first names and the Year; pick Independent, Developing or With support per strand; tick ESL, IEP or Early Reading Screening; choose Initial Observations or Communication of Learning. A character counter checks your own limit (paragraphs run about 400-750 characters; a Short paragraph setting gives about 300-550). Focus areas rotate between classmates; Try another and Variation reshuffle the wording; He/She is optional.

Written for Ontario classrooms: Canadian spelling, pronoun-free bank, positive wording, no marks, ratings or screening results inside the comments. No add-ons or sign-ins; names stay in your own copy.
