Do you need a really good writing example to inspire your pupils?

These opening paragraphs for creative writing sessions (or for homework) include well structured sentences. They are ideal for Year 5 and 6 children - and KS3. The mystery focus will engage writers and should initiate some good class discussions.

Three openers are included. Each includes a version that can be easily cut out and stuck in their books, and a version that can be completed on the sheet in class or for homework.

The three starters are titled...
1. A Good Night's Sleep
2. Hide and Seek
3. The Attic
