NB This is the lesson plan only - all resources to go with it are included in the 'bundle' I have uploaded (click the 'View as part of a bundle' button on the right hand side of this page).
This maths lesson is themed around the class receiving a letter from a chocolate factory which needs help designing the box net for their new product.
Children learn to visualise folding nets into 3D shapes, with differentiated fun and easy to mark/assess activities, including an open-ended extension.
I was really pleased with this lesson and the head at the time awarded me 'Outstanding' for it.
If you wanted to be super nice to your class, you could even get them some chocolate to go with it :).
Feel free to email me at sam.emanuel@live.co.uk with any questions you might have.

Not all resources were included unfortunately. Excellent idea for a lesson plan. But if I am paying £4 I would expect wordbanks and images etc mentioned in lesson plan to be included.
