P3 Unit 3: Exponentials and Logarithms (Edexcel IAL)

A complete, original teaching unit for Unit 3 of the Pearson Edexcel International A Level Pure Mathematics 3 (WMA13) specification, following Pearson’s IAL P3 scheme of work. Three lessons cover the functions eˣ and ln x and their graphs; using logarithmic graphs to find the constants in y = axⁿ and y = abˣ; and exponential growth and decay models. Each lesson opens with a starter that checks prior knowledge, then has an editable PowerPoint with worked examples set out as the mark scheme expects, graphs where they help, practice with answer slides, exam technique, speaker notes and an exit ticket, plus a worksheet with full answers. Also includes a 40-mark unit assessment with a detailed mark scheme and a teacher guide that maps every lesson to real WMA13 past-paper questions from January 2020 to June 2025 (referenced, not reproduced).
