Included Schemes: Intro to Drama – Introduces students to the fundamentals of drama, including voice, movement, improvisation, characterisation, and storytelling. Focus on confidence, ensemble work, and creative expression. Pantomime – Students explore exaggerated performance, stock characters (Hero, Villain, Dame, Comic Sidekick), breaking the fourth wall, and audience interaction. Includes scripted scenes, improvisation, and mash-up performances. Page to Stage – Focus on taking a written story, script, or poem and transforming it into a dramatic performance. Students develop skills in interpretation, characterisation, movement, and staging. Greek Myths/Legends – Explore myths like Perseus and Medusa, Theseus and the Minotaur, Pandora’s Box, and Jason and the Golden Fleece. Techniques include tableaux, thought-tracking, narration, choral speech, and physical theatre. Students devise and perform their own myth-inspired scenes. The Lion King – Engage with the musical through stylised animal movement, vocalisation, ensemble work, and symbolic design. Students create thematic tableaux, rehearsed scenes, and a final devised performance using headbands and music. Room 13 – Build suspense and mystery using hot-seating, mime, tableaux, scripted and devised work. Focus on characterisation, physicality, and dramatic tension, culminating in a final devised performance resolving the Room 13 mystery.
