The PowerPoint presentation is based on Parliamentary Law Making on the new AQA Law specification and specifically covers the role and composition of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The PowerPoint then explains each stage of the legislative process. The presentation includes links to short videos that provide more detail on the Houses of Parliament and the stages a Bill goes through. There is another link to the government website showing all current Bills before Parliament. This presentation will last approximately six hours. Also included is a discussion of Green and White Papers and the types of bills before Parliament. There are five mark assessment questions and multiple choice on Green and White Papers and the legislative process. Also attached is a worksheet on Parliamentary Supremacy and the influences on Parliament. This resource will be best used alongside the AQA A-Level Year 1 book by Jacqueline Martin.
