Past Paper Question Breakdown and 2026 Exam Predictions for A-Level Edexcel Politics Paper 2

This resource includes a summary breakdown of all past paper exam questions that have been asked for A-Level Edexcel Politics Paper 2 (UK Government & Non-Core Political Ideologies), alongside informed predictions for the questions that will likely be asked in the 2026 Summer Exam Series.

The breakdown includes a copy of the A-Level Edexcel Politics Paper 2 Subject Content Specification in a table, with all past paper questions listed and divided by Section A (Source Questions) and Section B (Essay Questions). All core ideology questions are divided thematically and all past questions mapped against the other potential question. All past paper questions are also included on the following pages for reference and revision purposes/practice.

Furthermore, based on the different past paper questions asked previously, trends in the questions asked and general subject-expert analysis of the past exams, detailed and informed predictions for the questions that will appear in the 2026 Summer Exams is included.

PLEASE NOTE: These are only predictions intended to guide revision towards topic areas that are more likely to be asked in 2026. Students are reminded of the need to revise ALL subject content because anything could be asked!
