Perimeters & Areas of Compound shapes (C-A)

This lesson is to calculate the area of compound shapes, the starter is to label a circle, it goes through how to calculate the areas of the various shapes. Then 3 compound shapes can be used to see if the students realise how to calculate them by breaking them up. A plenary is embedded, kit has shapes that need to be cut up and the students need to come up to the front and describe the shape and the rest of the class guess.
