Peterson and Peterson's Key Study - Full Lessons - Edexcel GCSE Psychology - Memory

A comprehensive lesson bundle created for the Edexcel GCSE Psychology course.

This bundle relates to the Paper 1 topic of Memory.

For every topic, students must learn about two ‘key studies’ and must be prepared to answer MCQs / shorter-style questions on specific details of the studies, as well as medium-sized questions using their knowledge of the studies to explain novel scenarios.

This bundle contains:

• A lesson PowerPoint, outlining what students must know and understanding about this key study (Peterson and Peterson 1959), lesson activities and instructions, model answers for a memory retrieval quiz (which are revealed in ‘presentation mode’) and model answers for exam-style medium-sized questions.

• A handout containing the write-up of Peterson and Peterson’s research (this has been matched against the ‘Topic Guides’ produced by Edexcel), as well as exam-style questions to practise on.

• A handout containing a memory retrieval quiz on the key study (with the answers on the accompanying PowerPoint).
