This resource includes two four in a row games based on deleting a sound from a word to create a new word. The four in a row grid is filled with words. Around the outside are various images. The idea is to delete a sound from the word in the grid to create a new word (represented by the images). Having the images available to pick from adds an element of scaffolding. Rehearsing sound manipulation in activities such as this is ideal for dyslexic learners.

For both games, there is a list of words detailing what the images represent in case a learner is struggling to identify them. In addition, there is an answer sheet with the solutions.
