Teach children to identify and build different representations of numbers up to 30 with this versatile resource.
Each number is represented in different ways that include numerals, number words, expanded form, base ten, Numicon, bead string, abacus and spot patterns. The images can be chopped up into cards that can be used for matching pairs and bingo games.
Some base boards are included so children could be challenged to hunt for 4 representations of their number and add them to their base board as part of an outdoor 'treasure hunt' activity or a simple tabletop game. You can introduce new representations as children become familiar with new apparatus. Lots of possibilities!

For children who are working at the earlier stage of representing objects see my resource 'Place Value Mastery: Representing Objects'
