**Planning a 2-player game in Scratch (planning sheet) KS2 or KS3 - Computing / coding resource
**
Simply an A3 sheet which is designed to allow learners to structure their ideas for a 2 player game in Scratch. Terminology from Scratch has been used so that learners recognise certain terms when they go to make their game example: sprite / backdrop.

Tasks on sheet:

  1. Design your own game in play and winning screens. These will be used as backdrops in your game.
  2. What will each player (sprite) look like? What will their controls be? What will each control do?
  3. What’s going to happen in your game? How does the user win? What do they collect or avoid?

I would challenge learners next by asking them to recognise what’s happening in certain pieces of code. Please see my other resources for Powerpoints which will structure game-design lessons.
