This resource encourages students to be independent in analysing a poem and feeling confident enough to identify language techniques and comment on their effect. There are many ways this lesson can be carried out, we have tried this as a written task (in books) as well as student-led presentations. The questions attached contain 10 relevant questions to prompt students to think carefully about language used and its possible meaning. Like all resources, these can easily be adapted.
