It includes all questions and a variety of tasks and model responses. There is also tasks specifically targeting higher attaining students. As with all resources, the materials can be adapted to suit all students.

Included in this resource: 1 x PPT Whole Lesson 1 x Typed up charity transcripts This resource was created as part of a non-fiction scheme of work for KS3 students getting them to consider the purpose, audience and format of non-fiction text types. The lesson(s) resulted in students creating their own charity and writing a charity advert transcript for a television advert. I then got students to film their own charity advert using a class set of iPads using iMovie. Students found this engaging and something different to newspaper articles and formal letter writing.

Included in the resource: - 5 x PPT Poem lessons (including assessment lesson) - 1 x Purple Pen Language Techniques Lesson (reflecting on gaps in knowledge from the SoW) - 3 x accompanying worksheets - 4 x copies of poems This Scheme of Work was created for a very low attaining KS3 class. It can of course be differentiated and adapted for any ability. The resource includes analysis and exploration of poems associated with themes linked to the process of 'Growing Up'. It also includes a purple pen reflection lesson that targets language techniques.

Included in the resource: - 1 X PPT Whole Lesson (exploration of Trump's speech and introduction to requirements of the additional spoken language task) - 1 x extract of a speech made by Donald Trump This resource was created to engage students in non-fiction writing skills and also begin preparing them for their spoken language assessment (the additional task required by AQA). Students explore the persuasive language techniques used by Donald Trump and then begin to consider which task they would like to complete for their spoken language assessment. As with all resources, this can easily be adapted and differentiated.

Included in the resource: - 1 x PPT Whole Lesson Resource - 1 x ISPACED Storyboard Worksheet This lesson uses the common acronym 'ISPACED' to encourage students to vary their sentence openers. Continuing on from our other resource 'AQA Language Paper 1 - The Great Gatsby - Section A Walking Talking Mock', this resource works on the skills required for Section B of the exam.

This worksheet provides students with a useful structure to use to answer Question 2 of the AQA ENGLISH LANGUAGE PAPER 2 exam. We have taught our students to use this method and it has proven to keep summaries clear and concise and teaches students not to over analyse in the style of an AO2 question. Included in this resource: - 1 x PPT Whole Lesson (taking students through the newspaper production process) - 1 x Article planning sheet (effective on A3) Students were guided through the newspaper production process with the task of writing an article on teaching (challenging for a student!). The lessons ask students to interview their teacher (they found this engaging!) and then produce a newspaper article. The only extra resource you'll need is a variety of newspaper headlines cut out for one of the tasks (studying the importance of a headline). As with all resources, this can be adapted and differentiated easily.

There are many ways this lesson can be carried out, we have tried this as a written task (in books) as well as student-led presentations. The questions attached contain 10 relevant questions to prompt students to think carefully about language used and its possible meaning. Like all resources, these can easily be adapted.

Furthermore, it encourages students to research and consider high-level, ambitious vocabulary. As with all resources, it could easily be adapted for all students.

These lessons were created to engage students using the well-loved BBC documentary 'Planet Earth'. The lessons work through all of the AQA Language Paper 1 questions (1-5 - 5 being the writing task). As well as completing the AQA style exam booklet, students should also write a descriptive piece - a commentary in the style of 'Planet Earth'. To inspire students with this task, it is advised that they find a relevant video clip/stimulus. The Purple Pen Reflection worksheet is to be used once students' commentaries have been graded. It has been used with both KS3 and KS4. As with all resources, this can be easily adapted.

Key Extracts - 5 x Context Information Sheets - 2 x Character Image Tasks These lessons were created as a Macbeth Revisited Scheme of Work to refresh students' memories of the key extracts and concepts in the play. Students are encouraged to acknowledge the AOs and the importance of clear, detailed links between contextual ideas and the play. There are also opportunities for students to include critical literature and ideas about the play thus stretching and challenging the high attaining. As with all resources, these could easily be adapted.

Included in this resource: - 1 x PPT Whole Lesson Descriptive Writing - 1 X Descriptive Writing Preparation Worksheet (to be printed double-sided) This lesson focuses on question 5/section B of Language Paper 1. Students are to write a description using a video clip/variety of images as stimulus. The worksheet is structured to allow students to explore ideas and techniques to be included in a successful piece of descriptive writing. As with all resources, this can be adapted and differentiated.

Included in this lesson: - Relevant information about AQA English Language Paper 2 - Students have to use the basic framework of information given along with their own knowledge of the paper to create an informative poster about the paper to use for revision. - Prior to this lesson, students had worked through several AQA Language Paper 2 style exams (see our other resources available) Like all resources, this can be easily adapted.

This worksheet encourages students to explore the language used by Lady Macbeth in Act 1, Scene 7 when she is persuading Macbeth to commit the murderous deed. For more of a challenge, students can use a purple pen and explain why this would persuade Macbeth. Like all resources, this can easily be adapted.
