In this PowerPoint, we explore the concept of differentiation, designed for the AS Pure Mathematics course. We begin by introducing the reasoning behind first principles and then progress to different properties of derivatives of curves. There are mentions to the relation between the tangent and the normal of curves in given points as well as the use of the “chain rule” for the derivative of a composition of functions and to solve multiple problems involving rates of change.
Additionally, we explore different examples of worked exam-style questions, where all steps are clear and detailed.
