Primary Spanish Resources to teach giving opinions on food and drink. (It would be useful if some food and drink had already been taught however there is some revision of basic food items). This resource includes a match up activity which can be used as an introductory task as a simple match up or a memory game or peer practice. There is a notebook file which includes further practice of food items (noughts and crosses), followed by revision of basic opinion phrases, a match up of adjectives (could use mini whiteboards as a competition), a table of adjectival endings, examples of justified opinions, a word mat (which includes opinion phrases, connectives, adjectives and examplar sentences) for pupils to produce their own sentences/paragraph and a plenary activity. In addition there is a food bingo task which involves pupils walking around and asking pupils if they like the food items and is a good opportunity to practise the key language - more able can justify their opinions. There is also a powerpoint which can be used as a class or group sentence builder task. NB there are different items of food and drink). One use is for each pupil to have a slide (eg me encanta) and they have to create a sentence - can be English to Spanish or Spanish to English. Can be done as class activity and pupils stand at the front to make the correct sentence. There is also a vocabualry sheet of some key food and drink items.
