In the Middle Ages, Hunger Cloths were used to cover the altar during Lent. These cloths were covered in images and stories from the Bible to help people learn about God.
The Hunger cloth group activities leads to students designing their own section of a hunger cloth, reflecting on Christian beliefs and teachings towards environmental issues as part of an assessment piece. I have also included a whole class Hunger Cloth activity. Ideal for Year 8 students.
